The purpose of the Warehouse Operative role is to become part of the growing warehouse and fulfilment operations team and be involved in all aspects of dispatching orders, receiving deliveries, and managing inventory. The role requires a confident, hands-on individual who has previous experience working within a fulfilment warehouse environment.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Pick and pack orders for accurate and timely dispatch
- Receive incoming deliveries, unpack pallets, and containers
- Check incoming deliveries, repack, and label for accurate store away
- Replenish stock locations and move goods between stock locations
- Assemble internal works orders
- Process customer returns
- Engage in periodic cycle counts and stock takes
- Operate manual handling equipment
- Work with the warehouse management software
- Contribute to the general organisation and efficiency of the warehouse
- Participate in future initiatives
Skills/Requirements:
- Previous experience in a fulfilment warehouse environment
- Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy required across a variety of tasks
- Physically fit, with manual handling experience
- Good timekeeper and organised work style
- Team player with good communications skills
- Computer literate and experience using warehouse management software and handhelds
- A valid forklift truck experience would be beneficial
